Yes..That1guy is correct...Northridge is the best school in Moreno Valley. Its a math and science school and they have the highest API test scores of any other elementary school in Moreno Valley...

But...It has a waiting list...Last I checked it had 35 students on it...and...It only goes from k-5th grade..so then what? This is why I decided to put my daughter in private school..I enjoy living in Mo Valley..I really do..But there is not a middle or high school here that I would EVER put her in...

You can go to school-ratings dot com..and enter the name of any Moreno Valley School and they will all have low API test scores and be rated very low...

Other then the schools I have had no problem living here...We live in a nice area of Mo Valley and have never had any crime problems what so ever...

These systems move in a general West-East direction indicating the prevailing wind direction for the entire West Coast.
Thanks a lot. By the way, may I ask about earthquake in Moreno Valley? I'm going to move here so I have to find out about something.

The city of Moreno Valley lies on granite bedrock, called the Perris block. Thus, no liquefaction. The closest fault is the San Jacinto fault which difenes the city's eastern border (the badlands hills region of town around Redlands Blvd on the 60 eastbound headed towards the desert). It is considered one of the more active faults of Southern California. But then again, Southern California is a really geologically active region. Also large earthquakes are rare. The last major earthquake in an urban region before Chino Hills was probably Northridge.

Cities and housing | The end of the dream? | Economist.com - a not too flattering article about Moreno Valley.

We live near the Moreno Valley Golf Club On JFK...Major cross streets are JFK & Iris....Between JFK & Redlands BLVD....Moreno Valley named this area "Rancho Belago" earlier this year...Our zip code is 92555 and pretty much anything in that zip and South East Moreno Valley is nice and safe..

humboldtrat

That article you posted is pretty much true...BUT its really no different then many other southern cali cities right now...For example Riverside...My best friend lives in the Arlington/Victoria area of Riverside...and there are 7 houses on her street...4 of them are foreclosures which are empty and 2 are going to be short sales soon...She will be the only person left on the street...

So the foreclosure problem is everywhere right now...But I do agree that Moreno Valley is being hit very hard...I guess I choose to look on the bright side...In there are alot of good deals out there...For families who could not affort to buy before...

of course a home priced 500k in 2005 now dropped to 350k looks appealing but same home sold for 200k in 2002. Not such a great deal huh?
