Here's one for you: What happened to the Embers restaurant on Palm/Florida? Was it ever turned into something else? I think there was also a motel close to it that also closed down.
It was there when I lived there from 1989-march 1994.
And how is that old neighborhood doing crime wise since I left? I noticed when i went back for a visit in 2005 that most homes now had security doors.

Just wondering Pinkstring--do the old neighborhood know you were going back for a visit, therefore installing security doors?LOL

Very funny. haha. (sarcastic)
I'm harmless, except if you are a colony of ants invading my home.

When i did visit Hemet, it was like a blast from the past. Not much had changed from the looks of the neighborhood..except of course for the security doors on most houses. So i guess the neighborhood went downhill crime wise. A shame.

How is the auto insurance in Hemet, California. I am 25 and a male acourse and i pay $183 a month for a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo LS and 2006 Kia Rio LX that is with my Mom on it and she is 48. How much more do you think it would be from FL to CA, i notice CA does not have PIP coverage like FL does do you think this would cause a price facture?

you might want to go to one of those online insurance companies like progressive dot com and plug your info in. Hemet zip codes are 92543 92544 92545.

We made a mistake of moving to Michigan and am now thinking of moving back to California. We are looking into Hemet, (because of the affordable homes), and we have some relatives in the Irvine area. We are quickly getting discouraged while doing research. I have not heard anything positive. Our other option is to move back up north in the bay area, but it's going to cost us. Can anyone shed some light and let us know how it really is. Need to know if it's a good family town. We have kids ages, 7,9,14, and 17. They are all in public schools.

Hemet vs Irvine? no contest, two totally different worlds. Depends on where you'll be working. Unless your working in Hemet, the commute would be pretty bad to anywhere else. Irvine will cost you more, but it's in the epicenter of most everything. Hemet is desert, Irvine is beach!
