Default Moving to Mira Loma Area

Can anyone tell me about Mira Loma? What are the better areas to live within 30 minutes commute? How is rent? Average home price? Condo price? What are the places to stay away from?

I take it you are going to be working in Mira Loma, right?

In that case, I would probably live in the 92506 zip code of Riverside, or else in the Indian Hills area just outside the Riverside city border, and a bit closer to Mira Loma. We live in the 92503 zip code of Riverside but to be blunt for many folks it just isn't 'new' enough, nor well kept enough.

I wouldn't live in Mira Loma, although some people like living there as one can usually have a large lot and it's great for horses. The area used to have a lot of farms and dairies, hence it smells a bit like a dairy some of the time.

I would also consider driving northwest and living in Rancho Cucamonga.

I would search the MLS for a better idea on house and condo prices. In a ballpark way, I can speak for Riverside only. You can buy a condo in Riverside for the high 300s and up, and a decent home for the high 300s and up to 650000 for a really nice home. The really upscale homes in Riverside are between 700000 and into the millions.

I think that rent on an apartment in Riverside for a two bedroom is perhaps between 950.00 and 1600.00, but I could be way off.

As anywhere else, stay away from areas that are full of graffiti, loitering hoodlums, lots of convenience stores, poorly kept homes and yards, and an abundance of check cashing businesses.

Good luck.
