Now this is one unhappy person. I'm sorry your life is so miserable..!
Hesperia is in a growing cycle. Lots of new shopping, new City Hall, new Library, in general, a a nice place. it is in the desert and it does get hot in the summer. Like every town, it has it's older sections and it's share of crime, but do like me, don't go to the bad areas.
We moved here three years ago from Orange County and love everything about. Well. everything except the soreheads like the one above. Come on out and visit.
You can't judge it my what you read here, because, like everywhere, some people love it, so hate it. If you're life is unhappy, you won't be happy anywhere.

The tempeture extremes are not at all that radical. I don't believe jessem has ever been here..1
July and Aug it will be around 100-105. Out home is well insulated because it is the desert. We rarely use the A/C, just open the doors and turn on the ceiling fans. It is dry, not at all humid, so 100 is comfortable. Sept it starts cooling down and you get a couple of pleasant months in the mid 80's. It's Nov now, and is still perfect between 75-85. It will start getting colder in December, and gets real cold in Jan - april. Real cold is california cold, meaning 40's, sometimes 30's. We get snow about once a year, and it melts almost as soon as it hits the ground.

donn 2390 got it about right; you need to visit in Oct-Nov. or Mar-Apr. and talk to the locals. It is very hot and dry June-Oct. Winter days range from cool to warm depending on the weather, but nights can be cold if it's clear.
The town is in a rapid growth phase, as is most of s. Calif. Not much industry and/or work in that area, or Victorville either for that matter. Just light industry and retail. It's high desert; check out the climate on Weather.com

Hey c'mon guys... Jessem has a point on some issues... there is ALOT of trash blown all over Hesperia. I have lived here 6 years and am trying to get out for better schools. I love Cottonwood Elementary but do not like the 6th grade school my daughter attends. The budget cuts are coming for the schools and more than likely they will rid themselves of non fully credentialed teachers so the class sizes will increase to the maximum. The areas near the freeway (the tract homes) are becoming full of foreclosures and low income rentals. Don't visit during the easy weather times... that won't give you a true picture. Come during middle of summer - August is pretty hot and at least one time in November or March for the wind. The wind can be annoying but it blows the smog away... Good luck.
