We're moving to Victorville. I've heard everything about it from "stay as far away as you can" to "it's not as bad as people say". And searching this forum all I can find are threads from years ago. I'm wondering what neighborhoods are best avoided. My husband has been looking at homes near the 395, on both sides of it. Most of the homes seem decently taken care of and what I saw of the people didn't scare me. I'm just curious if anyone from the area has any input. Thanks!

You'd be better off going to Apple Valley.

Try Phelan, Oak Hills, or Pinon Hills. Here is a Facebook page that has a lot of what is going on in the Victor Valley, you have to ask to join, there are almost 20,000 people on that site. You can ask many questions there. https://www.facebook.com/groups/victorvalleynews/

Eddygeorge...
You would feel better is you moved to Hesperia instead of Victorville...
Hesperia I believe is more spread out and less people here. It's a
little bit cheaper here on rent and the lot sizes, depending on what
part, is bigger. Give it a thought !

You don't say why you're moving there. If for a job, where is it? And what's your budget?

If you look west of 395, aren't you outside of Victorville?
