Actually average price in my area is about $220K. We already have a buyer and will still make profit. Luckily we bought cheap before prices got out of whack so ... it's not a problem.

As for 3,000 square feet well ... it could be 10,000 but, Texas is still Texas ...

It's just not for me. I lived there before and was miserable.

FalconRanch1 is on a distinguished road
I moved to Texas after selling at the peak of the "boom", paid my house cash. Now i had lived in California my ENTIRE LIFE 39 years!! I have been here in Texas, in a suburb of Houston called Katy. I have been here for about three years and let me tell you......i LOVE it. I would NEVER consider moving back to California. The public school system is a JOKE in California. My kids were having trouble at the beginning because schools on my side of town are extremely competitive and challenging. I have paid my 3,000 house CASH and am happy to say that it has gone up 25% since i moved here. In fact i just moved to another house 1 year ago, that sweet rent i get from the paid-off house is helping me pay off my other house. YOUR telling me that California is better right now, i dont think so. The most Fortune 500 companies are not located in California or New York, but TEXAS YA'. So i think my move was an awesome move becuase the same house i had in California is now worth 300K less than what i sold it for. Thank God, Thank God.
