Default Traveltime From La Quinta

Just by looking at the map, the area of La Quinta and La Quinta Cove seems rather far from I-10.

If one were interested in working in the surrounding areas, what areas offer decent employment within 45-minute drive time? {Hospitality/Admin. Asst.}

My other choice would be Rancho Cucamonga. Do people travel into LA for work from here or is this too far a commute?

If you had to choose between the following areas, given that housing is affordable in each, which one would you choose and why?

~ Agoura Hills & immediate vincinity
~ Rancho Cucamonga
~ La Quinta

My relocation search is in the eleventh hour and I hope to make a decision this week.

Thanks to all!

It's not really that far or that long of a drive from La Quinta to get to the 10 freeway. However, I would recommend Jefferson as opposed to Washington, where you are going to get caught up in traffic at every light.

My husband works in Los Angeles. He only goes down on Mondays and Thursdays and when he's in trial he stays in a hotel in Los Angeles. He leaves so early that sometimes he can get down there in an hour and a half. Other times it's a three hour trip.

You may not want to commute that far to get to work, especially if you are in a job where you have to drive into Los Angeles every day. In that regard, it is probably worth the extra money to live closer in to LA and be near work. But as far as beauty and serenity goes, La Quinta has those other two places you mentioned beat hands down.

The thing with our area is that even with all the snowbirds here during season, there is always a way to get to where you're going and avoid traffic. You don't have that in the LA area.
