The prices have really dropped in Palm Springs. I just looked at a one bedroom condo with a killer view for $198K in Palm springs.

Many foreclosures and great deals now.

hope this helps.

Cat City is NOT the high end of the valley and in fact is one of those areas - along with DHS that one would want to pretty much steer clear of. The only place in Cat City that would even remotely come close to a $450 per month HOA would have to be the Desert Princess - and that is a country club with a golf course or two and a clubhouse.

Actually Cathedral City is not that bad. No, it's not the high end of the valley but there is nothing wrong with it either. Palm Springs and Cathedral City are older cities here in the valley so I guess that makes them slums to some people. I lived in Cathedral City and now live in Palm Springs. Desert Hot Springs is bad, no doubt about that! I have never had a problem in Cathedral City nor did I ever have a problem living in Palm Springs. There are crimes in every city and some areas of some cities are worse than others.

Lots of gang activity in Cat City. Do you read the Desert Sun?

Here's a little ditty about Cat City that happened over the weekend. This is the kind of activity that goes on in Cat City all the time. Check the Desert Sun on a regular basis and you will see what I am talking about.
