Default BEST areas of Moreno Valley

Looking at possibly taking a job in Inland Empiren in sales, moreno looks like
most central location for me. I live in Charlotte NC in a nice neighborhood, yet my cars have been broken into, a vehicle stolen too.2 miles away dont walk
alone at night,Yes there is crime in every city. You have to know where to live.Im looking for a nice neighborhood, I'll have a good income so $400k I expect.
Thanks for any input.
Also looking for good private school for 10 y/o son.

Hands down the best place to live in Moreno Valley is the far southeast end. Try off the 60 fwy at Nason or Moreno Beach. If you want to live closer to Riverside then the northwest end is okay too.

I can't say much about the schools.

With that kind of income you could afford a nicer area of Riverside or even Temecula (unless that is too far out of the way).

The northeast end of town is a pretty nice too. North of the 60, east of Lasselle and all the way past Redlands Blvd. Many homes up there with some land too. As far as private schools go:

Kings Chapel Christian Academy
13027 Perris Boulevard, Suite 105
Moreno Valley, CA 92553

http://www.valleychristianacademy.net/ (my youngest went here for several years)
http://www.movalcf.org/schoolministries/ (broken link) (my oldest went here for a few years way back in the early 80s)
http://www.calvarylions.org/ (I believe this school is a K-12)

This city has many rough areas and places you do NOT want to be around come night time. The city police force is actually contracted to the Riverside county sheriff's office and is a fairly good no nonsense group. You can do a search here on the main City-Data site for crime stats and other info regarding the city.

I think I'd rather live in Redlands. It's a beautiful old town with lots of old homes, trees and character. We almost bought in Moreno Valley years ago and so glad we didn't..

The northwest part is pretty upscale too: Sunnymead Ranch, etc...

I've lived in Mo. Valley for 5 years now so maybe I can help.

I can tell ya the nicest places are either the northwest in Sunnymead Ranch or up in the hills a bit in the Hidden Springs area, if you want a bit more privacy. Schools in that area are very nice too.

You can also check out the far east side where the city is expanding. There are a lot of brand new homes and apartment complexes being built, as well as shopping centers and eateries. I'd just recommend staying away from central, western, and southern Moreno Valley. Those are the areas I wouldn't really feel comfortable walking at night.

How about Branding Iron Way? Is it in the central of Moreno Valley? Is it safe around the area?

I can remember a time when all of Moreno valley was safe..it was called Sunnymead back then. I always wonder what happens to towns, how they get all filled with crime and the powers that be turn a blind eye or just don't give a darn.
The area I grew up in is now one of the worst area's. Indian street, between Atwood and Eucalyptus.
