Hi, my two boys have a few days off from school and we wanted to take a quick vacation to Indio at the end of the month to relax. Problem is, we'd be staying at a hotel on Halloween night and they really want to go trick or treating. Are there any friendly neighborhoods in Indio that would welcome a couple of cute little ninjas begging for candy? I don't know much about the area so I don't know if the communities are gated or if it's really something people there participate in. Any insight or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Don't know about door-to-door trick or treating, but ...
There's a Halloween Carnival at Our Lady of Perpetual Help School (82470 Bliss Avenue) on Oct 26 from 8 AM to 6 PM.
There's a Halloween Carnival at the Indio Hills Community Center (80400 Dillon Road) on Oct 24 from 5 PM to 8 PM.
