Default Traffic from Hemet to Ontario, is it bad?

Could any one tell me what the traffic from Hemet to Ontario is like, moving from out of state, and looking for a smaller community to live in.

When asking a question like this it is important to add what time of day this commute will take place. There are no freeways "close" to Hemet, the west end is probably 20 minutes or so to the 215. The east end is around 30 miles to the 60 via Gilman Springs. Normal commuter times to Ontario from Hemet (depending where you are going to live) will probably be an estimated one to one and a half hours each way.

The 60/215 interchange (MoVal/Riverside) is a parking lot going to work and coming home. The 60 will back up deep into the MoVal in the mornings....same with the 215 which will get real slow and back up for quite aways approaching the 60. The 60/215/91 (Riverside) is a flippin nightmare all day long. Once you get past that interchange it should be fairly smooth sailing to, and again it depends on where you are going in Ontario, the 15 and you go from there. I can think of many other places to hang my hat other than Hemet if working in Ontario but that would be a different thread altogether.

What areas would you recommend. The housing in California is quite a bit more than Oregon. We have a 2400sq ft home, 1/4 acre, pool and rv parking. We paid 285 and it is now appraised at 430. I don't think we can touch a house like this in LA area.

Without traffic the drive is only about 45 minutes. But da jammer is right, with traffic it is going to be over an hour. The best way is to take the 79 North to I-10 west and avoid that nightmare 60/215 interchange in MoVal. The 60/91/215 interchange is actually much better than it used to be because of the new interchange that is just being completed.

In order to give you some other ideas for areas we would need to know your price range.

We would like to stay in the 300 mark, but I don't think we would find much that is close to Ontario and in good neighborhoods.
