I know that I have seen some threads that talk about breezes in Murrieta. What parts of Murrieta have these breezes, which don't? Thanks!

I lived in west Murrieta for 14 years; west of the 15 frwy a mile or so at Clinton Keith exit. We lived in the Copper Canyon area and had a nice breeze through the canyon there. Recently retired and moved to Boise.

Most of it gets a breeze except the areas by French valley and menifee. Although they might get a breeze as well, it's usually hotter in these areas.

Thanks for the info! It's too bad that French Valley is warmer, there are some good deals there.

I lived in French valley for 7 years. There are certainly nice homes at fair prices in there. My issues with it are simple. It's too far from all the shopping/dinning/entertainment/doctors/dentists, etc. We had to drive back into town (temecula/murrieta) for everything. This is worse for families as they have more errands, etc. The road connecting French valley to town (Winchester aka hwy 79 N) is already high traffic and constantly getting worse. In addition crime is higher, a few more low life types live here than in the slightly pricier areas of Temecula. It doesn't cool off as well as Temecula either. My general advice is to not go too far out into French valley if you can't do Temecula. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the great input! We have decided to concentrate on Murrieta, it just makes the most sense. I would rather have convenience and great neighborhood than the newest/best/biggest house anyway.

Well I don't have stats to back that up, just experience. Not necessarily violent crime either. Things like car burglary, mailbox burglary, etc. I have lived in both areas recently. And there is no doubt that riverside county sheriff is spread very thin in the unincorporated areas of FV, especially compared to murrieta and Temecula.

Kind of sounds like the kind of crime that occurs more often in my area (the Coachella Valley)! Nothing major!

Ah, I get what you're saying.

Look West of the 15 and South of Clinton Keith. Not a lot of homes for sale there due to its being a really good area. I lived there for 9 years. Virtually every day during the Summer we turned off the AC about 3 or 4 PM and opened the windows.
