Yup, yet another "opinions" question.

So, if I may ask, what's your personal opinion on Coachella, CA? No, not that overrated annual music festival that's held here in Indio every single April (Just why?). I'm talking about the CITY of Coachella! You know, Indio's next door neighbor.

Allow myself to start with my own opinion on this city :

Coachella - Quite a bit similar to Indio. Has more agriculture and ranching within and around the city limits. More open spaces/vacant lots there than in Indio, which is nice. Some large, full trees in certain areas, such as eucalyptus trees and athel tamarisks. Big Hispanic presence, just like Indio, albeit at a larger percentage. Lots of Hispanic culture involved down there (i.e., murals). Mostly lower-income to middle-income, just like some areas of Indio south of the 10, though there are pretty nice areas that are newer, albeit cookie-cutter/stucco box-types, which is fairly typical all over SoCal. Somewhat higher crime and poverty rates than Indio, not sure why (I'm only kidding, I know why. ). Home to Grapefruit Blvd, which was honored for the Coachella grapefruit.

That is my opinion on Coachella, CA.

So, to recap, what's your personal opinion on Coachella, CA (the city)?

Any answers are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Uh... petty theft, burglaries, drug/meth-related crimes, property crime, some gang violence for a smaller city. You know, the usual stuff.

Do the local hoods bother you if you keeps your eyes open and mind your own business?

I don't venture to Coachella as much as I used to in the past (though I live near it, so I could just walk there), so no.
