Default Southeast Hemet (Sage community)

Hi everyone, I am hoping to relocate to the Temecula border/Sage community area of Hemet. I am originally from Chicago, and finishing college on the east coast. Looking forward to the weather more than anything. What is the general opinion of this area? How is the school system (my brother will be living with me finishing high school)? Anything an incoming resident should know?

I lived in Hemet, back in the late 80's early 90's. It's growing, but I think you can get some decent prices on houses still. I think the Sage area is kind of known for crack houses, although, I can't verify that info.
Temecula, is really growing, and it is very congested, but the weather is cooler than Hemet. It is about 30 miles south of Hemet, and an hour north of San Diego. It is a little more affluent than Hemet. Summer temps in Hemet can reach 110/115.

Sorry, no info on schools.

If you enjoy sitting in saunas for hours each day, you'll love Hemet.

Currently living in San Jacinto.
Sage is out from everywhere. It's a nice area, but the prices have gotten farly high ever since Diamond Lake opened up.
Depending on the type of work you want expect a lot of travel time there and back.
The schools are okay, fairly new facilities, but I havn't heard anything exceptional about them.
This is a very community oriented place, fund raisers, volunteer fire, friendly people.
Lots of "running room, and close to the mountains.
Hope that helps a bit.

The sage area is not known for crack houses. It is a nice family community that is not far from Temecula. Like old California, although growing, you still have room to stretch and not feel crowded.
