We stumbled upon a beautiful area in Murrieta, does anyone know if Greer Ranch is in a good safe area? We live in OC and are very unfamiliar with Murrieta so any info would be appreciated. Thank You.

It is a nice area and the whole area of Murrieta with very few exceptions is safe.

Also click the "City-Data.com" at the top of the page, put in the city and there is a lot of info including crime, though not by address as you can get.

I had to look up Greer Ranch and I know exactly where it is as my mom’s good friend lives right near it. I’ve been there a handful of times and she gave us the hard sell on how great the area is when we considered moving up that way. She said crime was nonexistent and it would be a great place to start our family. The only crime you need to worry about it that from bored teenagers. Don’t leave cases of beer visible in a unattended open garage and you’ll be fine. Good luck with your search

We have lived in Murrieta for 17 years and love it. There are no bad areas in Murrieta. Greer Ranch is pretty nice but I don't like rhe HOA fees and higher taxes there.

Summer can be hot. Expect high electric bills. Also consider commuting times and costs if you work far from home (most do).

You bring up a good point about electric bills. My mom’s friends biggest regret is buying a house similar to the one she had in San Diego. It has a large two story living room opening up to the bedrooms upstairs. The first thing I asked was about her power bills seeing this and she just dropped and shook her head. Apparently she didn’t factor in the loss of AC, nor did her realtor point this out. She’s not about to move again, but said if she could do it over she would’ve bought a ranch, or at least a two story without a huge grand entrance. Murrieta is a prime location for going solar though, so you have that going for you, although many HOA’s don’t allow it, and that whole area is chock full of them. The commute goes without saying anymore these days.

What will you while living way out there? The epicenter of IE entertainment is the 10/15 freeway interchange
