Leasing Agent in Palm Springs (real estate, luxury, for sale)

Can anyone recommend a leasing agent or management company in the Palm Springs area? I will be moving there at the end of May and will be in town next week to find a place to live. I'm having trouble finding listings other than apartments. com or giant estates renting for 10K a month short term. Where's all the long term home/duplex rentals? What'd I'd really love is to just call someone, tell them what I'm looking for, and have at least 3 or 4 places to see while we're there.

I know the areas I want to live (fairly specific about this). I'm wondering what the chances are of us just driving around the neighborhoods we like and looking for 'for rent' signs? This idea would work great in the town I currently live in, I'm just not sure if that's what it's like out there and I don't want to get into town with 0 leads....

When trying to find a rental in Palm Springs, I always had my best luck going through the local paper, The Desert Sun. Pick up a copy when you get into town and go through the classifieds.

If you prefer to go through a rental agent, then you might try the following:

Try the MLS. You can input either home for sale or for rent. Lots of rentals for houses and condos.

I rented an apartment through McLean Company Rentals for a couple of years and had almost no problems with them. Everything was great until the end when they charged me to replace a toilet that should have been replaced before I even moved in! But I think I'd still recommend them.

not sure what your price range is but i have a great house i really need to get rented! it is in a very sought after south palm springs neighborhood and has wonderful mountain views.
