Default Am 28, Single Live In Mi, Moving To I.e

LOL , made it sound like a dating service , hey im sure i made a few laugh.
Ok , so here is the deal. Im very confused about what i wanna do. I used to live in the bay area years ago. I wanna move out to Ca. Am tired of Mi. The gangs, cold weather, the tax system and welfare , yada yada. u get the point.
My degree is in Marketing and Computer. tech. background. I dont know if this is the right option because i hear Phoenix isnt bad.
I really would like if you guys can tell me what area of Riverside is afforable, savvy, nice , but yet not extremly crowded.
My dad want to move to Temecula with the family but i heard its very far from everything else.
I'd like a place that has some nice restaurants, good places to work out, thats happening a little , and yet not very far from the big City.
please any input would be greatly appreciated.
Oh yea, and how much is rent if i wanted to get a small condo?

Moving from gangs and welfare to gangs and welfare. I don't think you can fare well in a good neighborhood in Riverside for less than 1200 / mo. I couldn't recommend where to go, really, anywhere in the IE. I've known people who live in Temecula to go to school in the IE, people who live outside San Diego to go to school in the IE. You may want to consider San Diego, truthfully, but I couldn't tell you about gangs, welfare, or jobs.

You mentioned that Temecula is very far from "everything else." Hopefully the "everything else" you are looking for isn't in Riverside. When you say "big city," I assume you are referring to LA, which is still about an hour + from Riverside on a good traffic day.

Hi Booz30,
Sorry to disagree with you. People are frequently unaware of the intensive nature of problems until they are out of them. I was in the midst for 11 years, and I'm out now. It would be potential culture shock for someone from MI to go to CA and see what is there. I have lived in several environments, including NJ, CA, MN and IN. There's nothing like CA. What you call 'overdone,' is for the purpose of opening eyes, not to paint it black.

But mine was not a general condemnation. San Diego is good, as well as Temecula. And parts of Riverside are fine. But I cannot make recommendations based on my lack of knowledge of neighborhoods. If you can do so, please openly share your opinions of good neighborhoods. It's to give the OP info, after all, and the more accurate, the better for her.
Thanks.

Temecula is kind-of far away from L.A. but a quick sprint to San Diego. The I.E. (as a metro area) is the 14 or 16th largest in the country and has the problems as well as resources which go along with such. Redlands, Rancho Cucamonga, Corona, Riverside(east of the "Eastside") could provide you with all that you need in a safe & friendly environment. Just bring light clothing because you're away from the beach or mountains and it gets HOTTTTTT!!!
