A quick description about myself...I'll be able to work remotely and travel once a week to San Fernando Valley (Los Angeles Valley). House prices in Los Angeles County is way overpriced, and not considering to move in area's that are sketchy. It is time for us to move out of the city. We want a safe community, space, and character. I was raised in the San Fernando Valley but it has evolved: overpopulated, schools rated low and houses OVERPRICED., Though I will miss the truck tacos.

We are starting a new family, no kids yet, but we are well informed about the high rated school district in the Murrieta/Temecula area. We have visited a handful of times and enjoyed our visits, but I want a perspective of people who live there.

Question:

Anyone from the San Fernando Valley (or Los Angeles) moved Murrieta/Temecula/French Valley? If so, how is the culture compared?

Thanks for any feedback.

Santa Clarita is a carbon copy of Temecula/Murrieta and much, much closer to the San Fernando Valley. There's also Simi Valley too.

No reason to move to Temecula unless you want to be closer to San Diego for some reason?

As per culture, the San Fernando Valley is very much conjoined with the rest of urban LA now, and is more "urban" than it's ever been. There is always more access to culture in urban areas than in suburban ones.

We did think about Santa Clarita, but the price for what you can get around 450,000, 4br... Its a big difference. Same with Simi Valley. Anyone has similar experience?
