Yucca Valley in winter
Yes, it definitely can snow. While desert, it's just shy of 4,000 ft. elevation

Great Yucca pics, my grandparents had a little place they homesteaded out on the Mesa in the early 50s and gradually added on to it, still miss that piece of paradise..

Oh. My. God. !
I am so in love with California. I'm really not a fan of NoCal but I cannot resist the beauty of Southern California.
Unfortunately, Los Angeles has lost my love due to the massive crime, racial tensions, immigration, corruption, overpollution and overpopulation and traffic is also crazy.
So that leaves Inland Empire to be the only place I still love...
Can't wait to get there!

Those are great shots - there is nothing better in a photo (to me) than palm tree's. Since I am in Minnesota (where we have no palm tree's) I especially appreciate them. At work, years ago, a friend went to South Carolina and brought us back a picture of Taco Bell with palm tree's. We hung it in our office to enjoy - because our Taco Bell's do not have any palm tree's around them.
One day while on my way to work - I had to take a 2nd look - yes, there were two palm tree's at the entrance to the country club/golf course by my house. I couldn't believe it. So the next morning I took my camera and stopped to get pictures. The LPGA was starting the next weekend and they had brought in 2 pretty good size palm tree's for the occassion. I loved it. Before winter they were removed. That was when Jesse Ventura was our mayor.
Most of those stores look pretty new and well taken care of - looks like a nice clean area. But I noticed, not too many shoppers in the mall. Of course, it is summer - and who wants to shop unless it is to get out of the heat.

When I saw the pics last night I wondered where all the people are, because every time we go at Montclair Plaza is very crowded. I think the photos were taken in a weekday morning, but we'll wait for Forever Blue to confirm this. I love photos with palm trees and snow on the peeks on the background. Do you have some of those too?
