Murder, etc. happens everywhere and in any big city. The IE has 4 million+ people. And fires have occurred all throughout California (even Northern California a few weeks ago), and in fact in other States too.

Bad things happen everywhere. If I was so callous, I could put pictures up of floods, hurricanes, cultists, etc.

i hate when people generalize...i have no idea of what this area is about being from Miami and any dummy would know that crime and natural occurances happen everywhere but things are not the same everywhere ...there are different atmospheres and feelings in certain areas....i would like to see more of what this specific area is like from all walks of life that live there...things arent seen from the same view as everyone in your area ...

of coarse alot of people might know that a certain store has cheaper prices or this or that street is always packed with traffic but as far as the types of people or things happening in your area that you notice or are really oblivious to depends on what crowd you know or hang out with and what lifestyle you live...you cant ask a guy that lives working 8am-5pm what is happening on the 3rd shift in his community because he is sleeping then and vice versa....different lifestyles bring different views of an area and i like to see all points of view and then judge for myself if i want to go to that place or not

Sorry, my bad. I was being a bit too critical on the pictures submitted - especially those that weren't even of the area.

Anyhow, I got a a little defensive mainly because of the countless bad raps the IE has traditionally been given by those in the LA and OC areas.

The primary reasoning for their bullying? - I'm not quite sure. But basically the IE has been considered the "boonies", the 909's, land of the dirt people, the ghettos, or any of the many other monickers that LA/OC people tend to label us.

Of course, this thread has shown how little they know about the great beauty, serenity, and quality of life we actually get to have living out in the "boonies".

Maybe, the jokes on them?

Cool I hope this works this time...

Well, I couldn't figure out how to make the pictures larger, but I did find out that you can click on the ones I've uploaded and get the full size, so I guess that's better than nothing. I took all of these with my Samsung Rant phone.

Here goes...

I absolutely love this thread! I'm a native cali girl who was born in Los Angeles, but lived most of my life throughout the I.E. (including Pomona, which I believe to be part of the I.E.). I'm currently living in the midwest and miss HOME some much! Your pics have brought back fond memories. Thanks a bunch!!!

I believe you need a few more posts and a little bit more time on CD before you can do that.

But here's how to do it:
