Thinking of moving from Los Angeles to Fontana w/ commute (San Bernardino: HOA, new home)

Hey all, we are looking into buying a new home in Fontana but would like to get some feedback. We currently live and work in Whittier (near 605 & 60) and would be commuting 3 times a week for work. Anyone have experience with this type of situation? How is living in the city of Fontana? Any input would be appreciated, thanks

You may want to stay away from Fontana, Rialto, Colton and San Bernardino. Try Rancho Cucomunga towards Montclair instead.

I love living here, but I don't have to commute. I walk to work. I like the fact that I'm living in a "real neighborhood". My definition of a real neighborhood is one where there is no HOA or CC&Rs, like the neighborhood I grew up in. This area is a Mexican food lovers dream. So many good little holes in the wall to eat, and eat on the cheap too.

If you want to live at the bottom of a toilet, then move to Fontana. It is one of the worst places you could live in the Inland Empire. Definitely set your mind on Rancho Cucamonga.

I use to commute from Fontana to Santa Fe Springs every day. The traffic is horrible on the 60 freeway. If you leave your home about 9 or 10 in the morning, it might be a little better but not much.

Fontana has its nice parts. North Fontana north of the 210 freeway have beautiful and expensive houses. If you move to Fontana, move in this area.

The rest of Fontana is like "little Mexico". Lots of Hispanics. Not saying anything is wrong with it, but I like a diverse neighborhood. Some of them think they are still in Mexico by having chickens and horses in their backyard. Just though you might want to know.

Rancho Cucamonga and Upland (North of the 210) is alot nicer place.
