Default Upland Area?

My husband just received orders to Upland Recruiting District. We had originally thought we would be more south so we were doing out research on the southern area's (Temecula, O'side, Poway). However, the Navy threw us a curve ball & we are looking for any & all info you have. We will need a 3bd rental, would LOVE to have a garage with that. We would like to pay no more than $1800 in rent (possible) however would pay up to $2000 if the property was right. Good schools are a must. We would like a commute no longer than 30 minutes into Upland. Where would you suggest? We are semi familiar with the area - we lived in Southern California for 5 years before we were transferred to Virginia Beach. Thanks in Advance!

I'm not sure that price range (1800-2K) is in Upland or the immediate surrounding area. Good schools, yeah, safe neighborhoods, yeah...
How about in the neighborhood around Chaffey College? I also worked in that area for about a year, it's Rancho Cucamonga, and it *appears* safe, but I've never lived there.

Hello, Rhea! I live here and I'd like to say that the livin' is fine here. The stats don't really reflect how nice it is here. What you are looking for is available in Upland. I decided to give you a some links so you can do your own research. Realize that these are for the more expensive apts. that advertise. I live in a 2 br. unit in an area that doesn't advertise and to find these deals will take more work, i.e. newspaper ads and other "low key" forms of ads. It's really nice here and I'm sure you will enjoy it here too.
