The best NY Style Pizza, Italian Food & Bagels can be found at NYPD in Corona. Family owned and operated by ex-New Yorkers.

How do you know its good? Because I've never stepped foot in there around dinner time and NOT seen another transplanted NY'er there. And the owners are quite proud of that as they introduce me to others as well (as I'm originally from Long Island).

The owners are friendly and outgoing. One of them are always around... at least all the times I've been there. The food is great. The pizza is the best I've had since moving out here in 2004. They serve bye the slice (which is rare in CA) and they serve sicilian pizza (which is even harder to come by).

And they have the best bagels out here as well. It may come off like a chain with all the NY signs, Yankee & Met jerseys and even the MTA metro cards (you have to look closely to find them), but its one of a kind.

Thanks for the tip... my wife, baby, and I went there last weekend and it was a nice experience. I got the veal parmigiana and the wife got a scallop linguine type thing and we had calamari as an appetizer. The environment is very unique for Southern California. I'd recommend it too.

Flo's in Chino on Riverside (Love the fruit plate with muffin (lots))
Montclair Cafe in Montclair on Central (Love the fresh bread w/breakfast)
Brandon's Diner in Upland on Foothill (Love their Flapjacks - they're huge!)

What I like about these restaurants is the wonderful service they provide. They're fast in service, and extremely friendly, and the prices are low. I guess good things do come in small packages.

This is my first post on this site....starting with FOOD sounds good to me!
My wife and I live near Idyllwild CA and love going to a mexican restaurant in Idyllwild called La Casitas. During mild weather we sit outside on a deck among the trees. Great food and service!

Taco Shop all over IE. Great Mexican Fast food with authentic taste.
Datillo's Italian Restaurant on Florida Ave. in Hemet. It's a family owned restaurant. Great food.

I grew up in the I.E and whenever visiting, I alway buy a papa meal from Bakers and go to IN/Out and get some mexican from Amapola on Baseline and Mount Vernon. I also like La Vernada mexican on mount Vernon. Two Guys on Highland has good Pizza. If you want something Fansy try Castaway resturant in San Bernardino.

I know mexican is all good and italian is al-dante I still like munchin' carpet found anywhere!
