Default Gavilan Hills/Lake Matthews/Lake Elsinore Schools

Hi!

Thanks so much to anyone who responds!

We are moving shortly to the Gavilan Hills/Lake Matthew area. If you can believe this our home will be right on the border of Perris, Corona, Riverside & Lake Elsinore. All those citites are within minutes of us. We were told we were in Lake Elsinore's School district. I am upset becuase the school they gave us Luinseno which is in Corona is 23 miles away. There are 2 Riverside elementary schools(RUSD) within 12 miles away.

To make matters worse my daughter will be coming from a small private school. That school will be to far to commute to....Especially since gas is so expensive right now...

So I have 2 questions. First how hard is it to get an inter district transfer to RUSD and second if I cant get the transfer does anyone know if Luiseno or Woodrow Wilson Elemetary Schools are any good? Woodrow Wilson is also closer to us and is in the LESD so I could fight to let her go there....Luinseno is in Corona, but was told this was our neighborhood school.

woodrow wilson is in the corona norco unified school district. this school is very nice and has some of the highest test scores of the district (if not the highest). it is very nurturing and the students generally come from the more affluent families of the neighborhoods. i have never heard of luinseno. woodrow wilson is a better school than any you would find in the nearby riverside schools. if it makes you feel better, i heard a rumor that they are planning to build Gavalin Hills Elementary in the corona norco district.
