Default Any Info About CORONA?

We are relocating to southern California and I wanted to know what everyone's opinions are about Corona. How is the area and schools??? My husband is going to work in Rancho Cucamonga and we are looking at Corona and also if anyone lives in the community of Eagle Glen I would really appreciate any info you could give me.
Thanks so much for any advice.
Kindest Regards.

Corona has some great new housing communities, the city has quite a few people. I'm not sure the commute time from Corona to Rancho Cucamonga though, but I don't believe it's long at all, because their aren't alot of jobs their in comparision to Orange and Los Angeles County. Stay away from the 91 Freeway! The high is about 95 in the summer, with the low being 42 in the winter. The weather is always dry! Corona is an excellent selection!

Corona is growing a ton, especially in the Eagle Glen and Dos Lagos area. The commute to Rancho Cucamunga is about 20 minutes, but that's without traffic (and you can count on traffic anywhere in so cal, especially during rush hour).

By the way, 95 as a high in the summer...maybe average but it stays that way through the night, too! I would say the high is about 105-110 (at least that's what it was last summer...) Good luck!

Good Evening my new neighbors - Maybe!!

Guess what, I live in Corona, and I also reside in Eagle Glen. You would love this area. This is the premier Area in the Inland Empire. The schools for this area are great. We have an excellent elementary school right here in the neighborhood that is approximately 5 years new, a wonderful intermediate and high school are close and of the community itself is six years new. Eagle Glen is a golf course community that is loaded with shopping centers and restaurants. We have two movie theatre's - Edwards and Krikorian, Target, Macaroni Grill, Kings Fish House, BJ's Restaurant and Brewery, TGIFridays, On the Border and more right down the street. PF Changs, Cheesecake Factory and Yard House are about 5 minutes away. If you love to shop, Dos Lagos is also right down the street, and there you will find many of your upscale stores, Williams Sonoma, Coach etc. Victoria Secrets and Bath and Body Works are there as well Stater Brothers, Wells Fargo Bank, Chevron Gas Station, and Albertson's grocery store snd more are located right within the community. Dos Lagos has an outdoor amphitheater that is surrounded by water. Great for summer concerts, art shows- you name it. The second half of Dos Lagos is underway and should be completed by late December 2007.

A large water park is in the process of being built in Murrietta which is approximately 20 minutes south of Corona.

The wonderful thing about Corona, is that it is still within arms reach from just about everything. The beach is about a 30 minute drive from here. Rancho Cucamonga is approximately 20 minutes away right off the 15 freeway going north.
The traffic is not too bad going in that direction in the morning. I would give myself at least 35 minutes to be on the safe side. Coming home from work the traffic is more heavier. It may take him at least 40 minutes to get home, just depending on the time he leaves work. People here in the area are friendly. We have a neighborhood watch and people lookout for one another. We have plenty of stay at home moms that network together. You will find people walking and jogging throughout the community during all times of the day. If you have children, we have the Eagle Glen Park with baseball diamonds, a field to play football, play area for the kids, barbeque grills and a nice picnic area for parties or social visits. There are many wonderful churches located in the Inland Empire. I attend a nice church in Rancho Cucamonga that is great.

Please feel free to PM me for more information. I'll be more than happy to assist you. If you are in the market for a home, let me know and I could steer you in the right direction.

Take Care, I look forward to hearing from you
Cami

Thumbs up Averages!

Ok, I've got the average temperatures from weather.com, which is the weather channel's website! They've accumulated these numbers for a long time. I was wrong about the 95's for the summer, that's more for Riverside area.

May 52-80
June 56-87
July 60-92
August 61-93
September 59-90
October 52-83

The poster two up is right, it can get to 100 or 105, but only usually a few days in the summer. It does cool down at night, and the heat is dry, not humid.

My father lived in Riverside for 20+ years (Glen Avon); we used to head over to Corona & Norco to ride horses. I spent my high school years there. I loved it; rode dirt bikes a lot. It was HOT in the summer. It was HOT there this past summer. It can get humid, and it can be hot into the evening. I work with a few folks that live in the Corona and Norco areas. They love it. I can't comment on the housing tracts, but I do know that Rancho Cuc is off the 15 north of the 60, and Corona is south near and around the 91. It wouldn't be too bad a commute. I don't care what some weather site says, it can get hot, but it still is nice, speaking from personal experience of course.

True, it can get very hot out there. It was a unusually humid for a few weeks this summer in the greater Metropolitan area, I remember walking to work from the bus and I would be sweating. It's usually dry, but this year did have a mixup. BTW, I live in the South Bay as well, Peace!
