With all the news of fires, I'm wondering what the risk is in the Coachella Valley of a similar event. We are moving to the valley the end of this month, so don't have any experience with this.

While there are wildland fires in that area, the Coachella Valley doesn't suffer from these devastating Santa Ana Wind driven fires that always make the news every year. It's on the wrong side of the mountains for those to form.
