This is my first posting here-(new-comer)I am very interested in knowing what it's like in Joshua Tree; it's climate, lifestyle, life, locations of houses (are there houses away from the market) closer to the mountains and how many miles are they apart? and maybe even job opportunities in the field of nursing. Anything about Joshua tree, I would like to know. Thank you.

Im looking to purchase a house/ property where I can grow organic food, build earthdomes (calearth.org), live in a kinda hippy community with like minded people, culture, art, alternative schools, music, ect. But I unfortunately I can't go too far away from Riverside (the ex husband (for the kids) and would like to be not too far from "civilization" I also want to live somewhere where it is green with lots of trees.

Any suggestions?

peace and love

Except for two months out of the year that "green with lots of trees" bit probably rules out Joshua Tree. Have you looked around Romoland, Winchester or Oak Glen?

Cheers
