i dont know if you would consider this SB area.....but Lake Arrowhead is by far the best imho.

High Desert/Victor Valley, especially if you can't afford to have, or rather not own a car.
With the Mojave River, BNSF/UPRR tracks, and the 15 splitting the area into three's, you'll alway be exposed to fast-moving traffic when walking or riding a bicycle.

Lived up here in since '87 and noticed the hostility level move up when many urbanites started flocking up here to make their dollar go further.

so how's SB now? the price is so low.....
