Default Jobs opportunities Banning/Beaumont Area

I'm from St. Louis MO and I'm interested in moving to the Banning/Beaumont CA Area. Im in the IT field and Im fearful of having to commute all the way to LA County just to work, are there many job opportunities in the San Bernadino-Riverside area?

There are NO jobs out here. One of the highest unemployment rates. I'm looking to leave CA because I can't find work. I live in Banning.

Believe it or not, Beaumont has experienced a HUGE boom in population and economic growth over the past couple of years, and it's still forging ahead.

If you're considering Beaumont or Banning... I'd highly recommend against Banning, even though it's directly next to Beaumont. There are very, very few redeeming qualities about the town. As far as work is concerned, off the top of my head, I know of 6 people who commute from Beaumont, Moreno Valley and even Corona, into the Coachella Valley each day for work and have done so for years. Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, La Quinta and Indio are all within a realistic driving distance for work. Conversely, going the opposite direction, you have Moreno Valley, Yucaipa, Redlands and Loma Linda. The Beaumont area will provide more options than you may realize.

Since you're in the IT field, there should be plenty of jobs to choose from. However, it certainly depends on where your specialty lies. As we all know, the more specialized your field is, the smaller the field is to choose from.

Check out the on-line versions of The Desert Sun and The Press Enterprise newspapers and skim through their employment sections. LA Times might even have listings this far out.

Good luck to you!

I live in Banning and I really like the area. There is so much to do within 30 minutes of the town. Banning and Beaumont used to be a bit boring, but the area has grown so much now that it's not so bad. And the weather is great (except for the occasional STRONG winds). I used to live in Missouri and Arizona so comparing those, The Pass Area is the best place to live.

There is a website that has information about the two towns that you might find useful when looking to see if that's where you want to live.
Discover the Pass || Banning, Beaumont, Calimesa, Cherry Valley, Cabazon, Oak Valley, Oak Glen
