Are the Catalina Groves Condos safe? Is the area clean and safe? Should I, as a single female, be worried to live on the first floor? I need some input...not much found on here. Thanks!

Catalina Grove is located in a decent area, though it does front on one of the main north/south running streets in Palm Springs. The complex appears very clean and well maintained from the outside. I have never been in the complex but worked with two different people that lived in it. Both were very happy there and never related any problems regarding crime. Plus the complex really isn't located in an area known for that. First floor or not, I am not aware of anything in particular that would make me believe you would or should feel unsafe residing there.

According to numerous postings over about 2 years on Palm Springs/Craigslist Rants and Raves, Catalina Grove isn't well maintained. Complaint posts there are chronic, seem to maybe be the same person posting multiple times, issues raised are usually flagged. Still, rumors of noise at all hours, people not living there using pools, loud parties, garbage piling up and damaged car ports would raise red flags. Its both a renters' and buyers' market, if I had the choice I'd probably consider somewhere else.
