Glad to hear your commute is easier antredd...there is nothing worse than setting in traffic and not going anywhere. I feel so sorry for those folks who live out here and commute via the 91 to OC and LA...their nerves must be stretched to the limit!

What do you think about people lying about where they live? Does it really matter? I'm just curious to read your comments.
I can't beleive that anyone would really lie about this. ... I take it back, I can beleive it....

But why? What's the big deal. The fact is that we all have to live somewhere....it doesn't make you a good person to live in a fancy place. It doesn't make you a bad person to live in a crummy place. Some rich people live in crummy places--some poor people live in fancy places--so what?

I agree with you. I grew up in Compton, and when I used to tell people where I grew up, the first thing that usually came out of their mouths was awww were you afraid to live there? I would respond back by saying I was just as afraid as you when you grew up in your home town.

When I lived in Riverside, I used to commute to Compton every work day. I did it for 8 years when I taught out there. I used to hate when it rained or when there was a bad accident. I would have to leave home instead of 5:30 am--3:00AM just to get to my school by 7:30.

I still find myself lying about where I grew up.... Baldwin Pk, CA. I say West Covina or "near West Covina". It's fine unless someone happens to be somewhat familiar with the area and wants to know where I went to high school. Then I get trapped. Better just to tell the truth. I've lived in Devore, Covina, Chino, Chino Hills and Lake Elsinore. Each city had its bad areas and good areas, bad press & good press, pros and cons, and each had something uniquely special about it. I'm currently in Elsinore and I really love it. No more lies :-)

lol, thats funny!! I never forget when I first moved to Cali I was told to stay OUT of Baldwin pk; so I did.

As far as W Covina, that city is changing; it not going to hold up against Walnut in the long run.

I'm not afraid to say that I lived in Muscoy for 25 yr's and had a "Lawnmower Repair Shop" on Macy St, for 19yr's.
Then Redevelopment hit in and I moved to Oklahoma in 2007.

I was one of those unlucky people sitting in traffc on the 91 into and out of OC, but I bit the bullet and got Fastrak. I LOVE IT!!! It is SO worth every penny - even when the tolls are like $12.00!

I haven't taken the time to read what others say about this, but I can't imagine lieing about where you live. I guess it takes all kinds. The closest I would come and I haven't would be to give a general location rather than an exact street or city. Maybe like, I live on the So Pasa/Alhambra border as an example.
