Without spending any more than $300, who does the BEST auto body paint job in Rancho Cucamonga & nearby surrounding areas?

What places in the area should I stay away from?

Good luck finding one for that price range. Check in Riverside down by Jurupa nearing Van Buren.

Your choices are Earl Scheib, One Day, Maaco
It would be hard to even purchase the best paint and primer for less than $300.

Someone I know went to get an estimate at 2 places so far:

Maaco in RC. He has an 80s SUV & a dent to fix. He was quoted $900 for the paint job & dent fix & this was a sale price that will end soon.

If that wasn't bad enough, he also went to an auto body/paint place along 8th street in RC. It was some hole int he wall place & they wanted $1800!

I had One Day paint my Bronco. $1800 and they painted the fiberglass top instead of dyeing it as quoted. Numerous areas where the body had been badly sanded showed thru the paint.

Earl Scheib painted my Jeep CJ7 for $400, they painted everything red, door handles, rubber fenders, bumpers, the frame. We had walked the Jeep first and they had understood the black stuff stayed black. They kept it a extra week to repaint the stuff black. Of course that pealed off a month later.

The paint supplies for a quality job would cost the body shop more than $300. A cheap job is called a 20 foot paint job. It looks ok from 20 feet, but don't get close to it...!
You can get a paint job for under $300, but I would rather have factory chipped and peeled paint than at $300 job. A cheap job looks like a cheap job and everyone will know you cheaped out. You car looks better now than it will after a cheap paint job.

LOL. That doesn't exist. Go to any good body shop and they'll laugh in your face. Body shops charge on average 50-60 an hour on labor. They'll need at least 4 hours to paint any car. Do the math.

I was asking for my BF back at the time, who finally got it done 1-2 yrs ago now at Earl Scheib. I think it was $700.
