East Irvine, like the Irvine Spectrum? If you use the toll roads, as long as there is not an accident (which is rare) it's no more than 45 minutes, and most of that will be congestion on the 91 before you hit the toll road. During off-peak hours, it's maybe 30 minutes.

If you plan to use the freeways rather than the toll roads, it will be more like 60 minutes during commuting hours. So you will need to figure out if paying the tolls is worth it for you.

Have friend that uses the toll roads for his daily commute. He says he spends a couple hundred dollars per month on tolls. Don't forget to factor that in.

It depends upon what time you leave each day. Before 6am? Maybe 35-45 minutes is about right. Much later than that and I'd expect an extra 15 minutes or more.

And you will have to return by 3pm, especially on Friday. If it's a Friday before a 3 day weekend? More like 1:30pm.

My neighbor leaves for work about 5:30am and returns home around 3-3:30pm. There are worse drives...

Go for a practice run a few mornings, the delays just getting to the freeway in Corona can be soul sapping.
