Winchester, California- Any Information?? Crime??
we recently moved to Murrieta, CA (which we like, despite hot summers) and found a great home to buy in Winchester, CA- in a new area called French Valley. It's towards the end, with a lot of construction going on. Anyone have information on crime, gangs?? the people or anything else in the area? I have 2 children. French Valley is composed of schools in many districts: Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee and even Hemet.. this house falls in the Hemet SD, which I plan to drive my kids to either a Tem or Murrieta school.

We moved from Murrieta to French Valley. Stay in Murrieta!! In fact look for houses in Temecula around Temeku Golf Courses. There are lots of homes cheap.

Traffic and heat are two negatives. Driving to Tem Or Mur taking the kids to school will be a joy as you have one major road to drive on.

we moved to french valley in june of 2008. love it. mostly families, no crime that I know of, quiet. we are in the TVUSD boundaries and the schools are great. i'm a teacher and this was a huge selling point for us. traffic isn't that bad. there are alternate routes to both murrieta and temecula that bypass winchester road but it really isn't that bad. having lives in both los angeles and orange county i have to say that traffic here is a dream. hitting red lights and stop anf go traffic is not bad traffic. anyways, we love french valley and our house and our community. good luck.

It's a nice area.
I would like to point out that the construction may be new, but it's been called French Valley for over 90 years.
