Question Rancho Mirage: Housing price question?

We have heard that Riverside has gone down in price, but how much has the price of condos/townhomes dropped in Rancho Mirage over the past year? How much further is that area predicted to go down?
Anything you could tell me about the area would be appreciated. I have a niece there that wants me to visit, and she is constantly doing a sales pitch on the area--but seems awfully expensive just on daily living there to me. Am I wrong?
And I keep telling her I don't play golf, so what would I do there?

There's a lot more to the CV than golf. There's hiking, tennis, swimming, biking, museums, nature preserves, etc. I'm not sure that the area is going to get much lower than it already is. Things have actually picked up around here and homes are selling. We have gorgeous weather here for 9 months out of the year, and about 3 brutal months of summer. People come here from all over the world to experience the beauty of the desert and the lifestyle. It's a very fitness oriented lifestyle in the desert. We also have world class shopping, restaurants, hotels, spas, and country clubs. You really should come out for a visit and see if you like it here. You can also go to www.thedesertsun.com and search the Desert Area MLS for housing prices.

tnabee is on a distinguished road
My parents live in Rancho Mirage, it's really beautiful...a resort / retirement community. Hot, hot, hot summers. There are probably some good deals to be had from a real estate standpoint. But it seems the more exclusive and higher priced homes (and there are many of them in Rancho Mirage) have really held their value.

Do you know what percentage from the peak real estate has fallen from Rancho Mirage? My niece doesn't stay on top of it, so I told her I would ask here.
