Well, no I have never had a ticket...driving THAT fast is what is morally wrong, you could have killed someone..so..take it for what it's worth. If you didn't want some honest answers you should have not posted that you were speeding that fast

We're all beating ourselves up over a one post wonder, but....
Lynwood is next door to Barstow, on Highway 15, the main road from LA to Las Vegas. It's it the middle of a multi million acre desert, with nothing but flat land, desert and sand for ever, and if you are traveling that road going slower than 90, you will get run over...! The road is wide, flat and smooth, with little signs of humanity for many, many miles... People on their way to Vegas can't wait to get there to give away their money... The slow pokes are going 90.
I don't condone speeding, I never drive over 70, but a flat straight, stretch that takes three to four hours to cover if your going fast, with nothing but desert sand to look at, isn't like speeding on most any road you're familiar with.
The CHP uses the road to pad their pockets....
Don't jump on me, I'm on your side, just wanted to let the viewers know it isn't a typical road most might imagine...

I agree, revenue is the main reason for CHP`s speed traps....BTW most of the time "pillars of virtue" turn out to be the biggest freaks.

Excuse me if i might correct you ! but you are like so many people who don't understand the differance between law's and codes . The speeding ticket ( NOTICE TO APPEAR) is for a violation of the D.M.V. codes Re: going over the posted speed . Now the law Is that from this notice to appear the court violates you rights ( constitutional law ) in that they make you sign a statement that you have been advised of you're rights , BUT that document doesn't have any thing abour 853.9 c.p.c. or 40513 of the D.M.V., check them out those are you constitutional rights, and the court violates constitutional law on a daily basis, now who's the bad guy ????

EVERY ONE ON THIS SITE NEEDS TO LOOK AT California Penal Code 853.9 and Caloifornia D.M.V. code 49513 these numbers are on all of California " NOTICE TO APPEAR" Issued by all law enforcment agancy's in the state. ( These are you're right's ) But they forgot to tell you about it , WHY????? because they didn't know themself's , Even the judges were taken back by them at first , now someone with the info is their worse nightmare > Check it out!!! To make any ticket go away all you need to do is DEMAND the the court provide a verified complaint on the "NOTICE TO APPEAR " and it's gone . Just like that!

I wouldn't go so far as to say driving that fast is morally wrong. A friend of mine with a Lamborghini Diablo took me for a ride in his car at a speed much greater than 90 mph and my morals weren't offended. That said, the it was a capable car, with a capable driver with no traffic for miles on the highway.

Most people have driven this fast at least once in their lifetimes. To the OP: Get a local lawyer who knows the system, get it reduced to a lesser offense,
and take it easy on the gas in the future...
