Commute time From Chino Hill or Rancho Cucamonga
Hi all,
We're moving to the I.E. from Texas (Used to live in Loma Linda years ago).
We've narrowed down our location to either Chino Hills, or the Rancho Cucamonga/Claremont/Alto Loma area.
My job is in Loma Linda, and my Wife's in Alhambra.
What's the commute like between.
1) Chino Hills-Loma Linda
2) RC area - Loma Linda
3) Chino Hills - Alhambra area
4) RC area to Alhambra
Thanks a million.

Depends on what time of day you commute, but chances are between all of them there's going to be traffic.

There will be traffic coming from both Chino Hills and Rancho Cucamonga. Chino Hills would be easier to access the 60 freeway. Rancho Cucamonga is a lot further east closer to the 15 freeway. Both are excellent cities and great places to live.

Google maps says the commute time is around 45 mins from chino hills to loma linda. Is this about right? I really want to stay under 1 hour commute if possible.

you're going against traffic, so google map commute time should be pretty accurate.

Your wife driving to Alhambra is going to get wiped by traffic. You have the FAR better commute.

If you're working in Loma Linda, and your wife in Alhambra, then i suggest you pick the places on your list that's closest to Alhambra. commuting to LL, assuming normal business hours, will be against traffic, so, longer distance should be fine. Unfortunately, going from RC or Chino hills to alhambra, assuming normal business hours, is with traffic. so, maybe you want to look at something closer to the eastern edge of LA county (Walnut, Diamond bar... etc) or something to the western edge of IE (upland, chino hills, chino, ontario).
