If you had a choice between Perris and Hemet where would you live?

You need to post a third option: Neither.

If all else is equal, I'm going for Perris. Otherwise I'd live in the one closest to work.

I agree with Twinkle Toes really....but, if I absolutely HAD to choose, it would be Hemet. I don't like it there particularly, cause it's so hot there for some reason. I know, it's hot everywhere, but, it feels hotter there to me...just MHO! I know you didn't give a third choice, but I'd take Temecula because they have lots of bike trails and the weather is somewhat cooler in the summer. I wouldn't choose Perris, although I know there are many nice people there...BUT...I lived there way back in my teens...wouldn't go back there for anything!

Add another vote for neither! If I had to chose though I'd go with Hemet.
Temecula would be best as carmac said.

Probably Hemet.. Spent some time in the Lake Matthews area near Perris for a few years and actually going in to Perris was a dread. Spent a little time in Hemet with the Civil Air Patrol and it seemed a tad nicer.

Which would you rather have happen to you: a .44 to the temple or getting smashed in the head with a sledgehammer?
OK, serious answer....
Perris.
It's smaller.
Less crap.

Perris, have lived here for years. Old Perris mindset and style is out. Check out the City of Perris website to enlighten yourselves. Hemet residents drive to our new Perris Crossing shopping center to shop at our WINCO Foods 24 hour grocery store. Perris is closer to OC, SD, and L.A., close to freeways. Hemet is way inland. Perri has been doing a lot of projects lately. Perris was bankcrupt before, but not anymore. We have very good city leaders now. Where can you get $30,000 for your business just to improve the facade of your business? Only in Perris. Where can you get help if you are a first time homebuyer? City of Perris will help you. As Perris residents, we get the Perris Scope newsletter to update us on what is going on in Perris. Temecula and Murrieta are too crowded now, Perris is closer to Loma Linda where I work, more job opportunities in the new Perris. Lots of construction still going on here. Downtown Perris will have a Metrolink station soon....watch the videos on the Perris website and you will be surprised. Perris became a city in 1911, a late bloomer when compared to newer cities around it but it still booming. Has not slowed down yet in spite of the bad economy.
