Bad people get priced out of their old areas, and they take their old lifestyles to less expensive places--such as Moreno Valley.

People are much too politically correct to suggest that you can easily tell whether a city is nice or not simply by Googling a city's demographics...

...well you can certainly use Google Maps, use street view, that should certainly give you a better idea of the neighborhood.

Sounds like things haven't changed much in old MoVal or Scummymead as we called it when I was a kid. Grew up there from 1960 - 1994. Was a safe nice place to live until they built low income housing behind the old Alessandro Jr. Hi & moved in families from East L.A. The do gooders were going to save these families instead we ended up with riots as M.V.H.S. & the crime level soared. First the county supervisors were selling us out to the track home builders & then we incorporated & the city council was taking money under the table. Smog was awful back in the 70's. I grew up in the old part, then got to move to snob hill (Coleman Estates) but left in 94 because of the crime & traffic. Wanted my kids to be able to walk the streets at night & not to be afraid of getting mugged, if you wanted a pizza after dark. Moved to Wisconsin, kids have all stayed here. Clean air, low crime but cold as can be but there is a lot to be said for safety. Sorry to hear things haven't changed. I sometimes miss old Sunnymead & the way it was with all the Air Force families & the hometown feel.

I work there and it is a ghetto.

A new family moved in recently thinking it was a nice area and let their ten year old daughter play in the park, where she was gang raped in the bathroom.

Not a nice place to be. No matter how cheap the houses are it is a gang infested, low income, violent place.

Bad, looked at a foreclosure there in late 90's and left in about 5 minutes.
