Default How has the recession affected the Coachella Valley?

I heard that the recession affected the Riverside/San Benardino area pretty hard. I was wondering how the recession has affected the Palm Springs area (Indio, Coachella, La Quinta etc.) My family plans on moving their and I wanted to know how hard it would be to find a job over their. My dad is a welder, and my mom a pre-school teacher and want to a find a job in their area of work. Thanks.

Yes, the recession has hit here too. It's just as hard to find a job here as it is anywhere else - especially since it's summer. I am hoping things pick up a little when season rolls around.
