Default Rentals in/around Upland/Montclair area

Greetings all,

My husband has recently learned he will be transferred to the Montclair location of his work. We will need to rent something around the area. Preferably close to his work which is located off of Benson Avenue.
We will be moving out there from Mission Viejo. My husband has been commuting from Mission Viejo to Corona and we are looking for a very short commute time when we move ie I'd like him to be able to come home at lunch etc. I'm not super familiar with the area out there and realize it won't be as "nice" as Mission Viejo. That's fine. I'm happy we will be able to save some money on rent and gas/wear & tear on the vehicle. I will also need to transfer to one of the community colleges in the area to finish my paralegal certificate. Here's what we need at our new place:
*Close to Benson Avenue in Montclair
*Fairly close to a community college
***SAFE SAFE SAFE****doesn't have to be OC pristine but needs to be SAFE
*Prefer to stay under $1100 per month.
*one bedroom apt is fine
*the complex must allow a small dog

Anyone know anything about the Mountain Crest apartments in Upland?
Any areas to avoid at all costs?

**✿** MOUNTAIN CREST **✿** SUMMER SPECIAL * Deposit $500

Thank you all!

If I was in the same situation I would not be looking in Mopnclair but more like UPland, San Dimas, La Verne. I don't know about your price range, but I would think you could get a 1 bedroom for $1000.00. You might even want to check into Rancho Cucamonga. All these places are within a few minutes of where hubby will be working or certainly not all that far.

Nita
