Default Lake Elsinore to Redondo Beach

I just accepted a job down in Redondo Beach, and though my wife and I grew up in Southern California, we have lived in Tacoma, WA for the last 5 years. We won't be able to afford a place in Redondo, obvoiusly, so how is the commute from Lake Elsinore? I will be leaving around 4-5 am, returning around 3-4:30. Thanks for answering!

Two hours in, three out. get a fast pass.
Plenty of meth available in Elsinore. You can buy back your TV at the pawn shop.

So, Lake Elsinore isn't a good area? What about Canyon Lake or Wildomar?

Also, I am not familiar with a fast pass. What and how much?

Here is a link to the No CA fast pass. You prepay for a windshield transmiter to drive in the express lane to shave a hour off the drive. The 91 is known as the Orange Crush for the parking lot commonly called a freeway. The same fast pass works state wide.

I would not suggest that commute unless it's the last possible resort. Even then, perhaps it might be a better commute to check something like Santa Clarita? IIRC you can find some comparable real estate at similar prices

Lakewood has decent prices and decent schools with safe neighborhoods(mostly) and may be a better choice if you can afford it

Thanks for the help! I checked those areas, looking for the low 200s, high 100s, so wildomar, lake elsinore are right in line. Thanks!

Under no circumstances should that commute even be an option.

why do you say that AK girl? Do you do that now? If it meant that your wife could live in a house and not in an apartment or a condo, would it be worth it? The project is expected to last a year, then it will be somewhere else. If you think that is bad, I will be starting in Hemet to Redondo until I find a place to rent or buy living with inlaws.

4 hour daily commute(at least, probably closer to 5 or 6 hours with accidents and crap that happen) + 8-9 hours at work leaves little time for your family after other obligations(like sleeping and eating)

I understand why you're doing it, but the mind can only take so much LA traffic before snapping. Before you make a purchase, make the drive a few times there and back during your expected hours
