Transfering to Lowe's RDC in Perris. . .
Hi,
I am currently employed with Lowe's in their distribution facility in Minersville, PA and am considering a transfer within a year to their facility in Perris, CA. I am working for Lowe's for just over 3 years on the weekend shift. I have a few questions that my Operations Manager could not answer unless I would put a transfer in. I am maxed out in pay at my facility ($14.50/hour base rate x .1111 shift premium + $.50 shift differential = $16.61/hr weekend rate) and am curious as to the pay scale for the Perris RDC. I currently work in the shipping department but am headed for a bachelors in Business Admin. w/ concentration in Accounting followed by a MBA in Accounting. The schooling is no problem for me because I attend on-line.
I was looking at the Murrieta or Temecula area for renting for the time being. I have additional income of approxametly $1,630/mth. I also have 3 children, 2 girls and 1 boy (ages 5,2, and 1).
I have lived in MV in the 80's and would like to relocate my family back to California.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated concerning the pay scale at Perris or any other information.
Thank You.

By MV do you mean Moreno Valley or Mission Viejo?

Living in Perris is going to be much, much different than living in Mission Viejo.

I was looking more into the Murrieta and Temecula area. I have heard great things about those two areas. I will probably rent for a while to start. My research has rendered that you can get a good sized house for $1,500/mth. Where I reside now, it is a world of difference then in either city. Murrieta and Temecula seem so much nicer and well maintained. My current city has 80%+ townhouses that are about 10-16 feet wide, 40-50 feet deep and connected on both sides; and NO garage. You have a small yard (mine is 10'x10'). The Elementary and Middle School are both on "warnings" for low state test scores and the High School barely passed.
But Murrieta and Temecula are my two current choices, they seem to have a lot to offer a family of 5 with young kids. It doesn't seem that far from Perris though, only 25-30 minutes.
Thanks

not really related to your move, but i might hold off on your masters in accounting and save the money. You could go ahead and just get your cpa license and that is pretty much the equivalent of getting your masters and will certainly take less time and cost less money. i work for a public accounting firm currently, and i've heard from multiple CPAs that a masters in accounting is not worth the time or money.
