Riverside, zip 92507, and commute to Loma Linda
Hi everyone. I saw some people here live in Riverside. Is it a good option for me? I will be working in Loma Linda and someone mentioned that I woudl not necessarily have to take the highway, I could use some back/mountain drive..(?). Also, does the zip code 92507 mean anything? Good? Bad? It's an apt complex, the area looks nice, residential, not much else around there I think.

Hi Medic I'm in the 92506 zip code. If your going to work at Loma Linda then Riverside is a good option is only about 11 miles from my house and will probably be the same distance for you.
There in the middle of some major construction on the freeway but you can probably get around all that and go straight down Iowa Avenue then pick up the freeway that way. You will have very little "freeway driving" which is a good thing. When they get through with that construciton it should ease up the traffic a bit. I'm about a mile or two from downtown Riverside. I've lived in Riverside since 1980 so I'm very familiar with the area so if you give me the name of the street your apartment complex is on I could give you an idea of the area. I'm guessing your going to be close to the UCR which has a lot of college kids and you won't be far from downtown. If you need anything else just ask....

one more thing Medic the smog is pretty bad here in the summer, sometimes when people first move here they have no idea there are any mountain out there until September or so. I remember going on an interview and the guy had a huge window in his office and he looked at me and said "...they keep telling me there are mountains out there but I haven't seen them yet." I assured him they were there but in the summer they're pretty hard to see.

I am a Realtor and i live in the whitegate area of Riverside"92506", a very safe and affluent community. the 92507 area is also decent. The one that most concerns me is the 92509 and so forth. but if you have any questions just send a message and I will be happy to answer.

Traffic around UCR on the 60 makes the drive a bit tougher these days. One approach is to take Heacock north from the 60 in Moreno Valley to Reche Canyon and the back way to Colton/Loma Linda.
