Question about Eastvale (unincorporated portion of Mira Loma, Corona)
Hello everyone,
First post here. Can anyone tell me about the differences between the Corona and Mira Loma portions of Eastvale? I've heard from friends/relatives that Mira Loma, CA is not one of the nicer cities to live in in the Inland Empire but how about the Eastvale portion of Mira Loma? I am going to be moving to Southern California from Manhattan (Upper West Side) for a new job and would like comments on the safety/crime around the Eastvale area (Mira Loma) portion as I plan to rent an apartment there while looking around in the area for a house to buy. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Thank you for the link Jerry. I am going to check it out to see what I can learn about Eastvale. Do you think that there is a significant difference between the Mira Loma and Corona portions of Eastvale?

I guess there really isn't a mira loma, or corona, portion of eastvale. eastvale is more a portion, or area, of corona(it is corona). if you look at a map, the eastvale area is newer. mira loma has been around longer and maybe a bit more rural. corona to the south is more like a city. really a hard question to answer. mira loma has some nice areas. in this whole area you are pretty much 30 minutes from what you could ever need or want to do. a bit vague, but i hope this helps some.

I guess I thought there were 2 different portions of Eastvale as there seems to be a Corona ZIP code (92880) and a Mira Loma one (91752). A relative of mine who lives in Orange County says that the Corona Eastvale 92880 is a nice area but that she would avoid Mira Loma. So, I am just trying to figure out if there really is a difference between the Eastvale in the 2 different ZIP codes. From driving around there.. it seems like an OK place with a few dairy farms but lots of new residential areas and some new shopping centers.
In any case, I am definitely looking forward to being back in the Southern California weather (it is freezing cold with wind chill and rain now here in Manhattan).

Bruin, agreed - I looked around Mira Loma and within the first hour I had made up my mind to not live there. It's very ghetto and low classed. It reminds me of Fontucky (not the North end).

So is it similarly undesirable in Eastvale (with a Mira Loma address) as Mira Loma itself? And Fontana, while not being one of the upscale areas, is safe at least right?

Bruin, Eastvale as a whole isn't an un-safe city from what I can tell. It just seems filled with low-class attitudes. That's the most that I got from my experience driving through but it was enough to not want me to come back. Fontana for the most part I would stay away from except the very northern-west most parts (Sierra Lakes & Hunter's Ridge).

Eastvale and Mira Loma are not the same. You are going to need to explore the different areas yourself.
