Default Utilities in Menifee

Hi everyone ...

Can anyone tell me who supplies the utilities in Menifee? I think Electric is SCE but need to know the gas company, the water company and trash pickup. Our location will be on Lakeport St, south of Newport and east of the 210 freeway.

Thanks !!

Also - does anyone have any insight to the cablevision offerings in Menifee. We have been in contact with Verizon and Time Warner and both of them say they only offer tv hook up that requires those set top boxes. All I want is the cable that comes thru the wall and hooks up to the tv and gets 50 or 60 channels or so. I don't want the HD or the DVRs, just a cable into the tv. Does anyone know if that exists there? They all seem to want to push their 200 plus cable packages, frankly I don't know if would ever even look at 200 channels!

...also, does anyone know if there are other companies in Menifee than the two mentioned above?

Thanks again!

They have it available to areas ( Satellite High Speed Internet & Phone Service - DISH Network ), but I've never used it. So I can't say yay or nay - sorry.

I get a heck of a deal from Verizon for my DSL - every year they try to raise the monthly rate, I say I'm leaving, and they give me the low price for another year.

As for DishTV - I've been very happy with it. It may lose its satellite fix for about 5 minutes every 6 months or so. Much better than when I had cable in another area that went out at least twice a month! I pay DishTV by the year (yes, that hurts the checkbook!), but they give me a 10% discount. (You have to ask for the discount - they never mention it.)

Try Mediacom in Menifee...we used to have them and at that time we were able to get just basic and extended basic. Sorry, don't have their number.

... also,.... do you know if the garbage pickup by Waste Management is included in the water bill? I know when we were in Huntington Beach it was, here in Florida we have to pay for it seperately, but we have about 5 companies to choose from.

Thanks again!

It usually depends on the contract the city has with the trash company. I'm not within any city limits, so I'm considered a county resident.

Where I am, Waste Management is a separate bill - and it's for 3 months at a time - it works out to a hair over $20 a month. That includes 2 very large wheeled containers - one for regular trash and one for recycling stuff - that they deliver to your house after you contact them. They pick up once a week, Mon - Sat, but not on holidays.

I've never used the recycle container, it just sits in my garage (gathering dust and getting in the way, usually). I recycle my own stuff and get the money

Just a thought - Comcast Cable (1-800-266-2278) may service Menifee area.
