New to Rancho Cucamonga (Terra Vista)
So...we waited 6 whole long months to find "the home" moving from Los Angeles area to Rancho seemed like the perfect move. Took both our kids out of private school to attend "good public schools" in Rancho. We were so eager to get any of our offers accepted we went with a forclosure sorta a fixer upper and thus far loves the cosmetic work done to it.
I am HOWEVER worried about daughters teacher constantly making remarks on how ghettto it is to live in either Fontana or Terrra Visa in RC, which is where our home is located. I am new to this area and would appreciate anyones perspective, advice on this area. What we don't like is the dozen of apartments that surround us and our nice little culdesac home.

You'll be fine. There's nothing ghetto about that area of Rancho Cucamonga.

I think I'd tell the teacher I didn't appreciate their comments.

Thank you for responding and yes! I will make sure he gets a nice note from me and how we feel about his rude comments. I happen to like Terra Vista and also see nothing bad about it. Time will tell.....

Now Fontana I would never live in.... but as far as Rancho I would live there in a heart beat and put my daughter in those school districts. You made a good choice. Love Victoria Gardens!!!!!!!!

I've lived in Rancho in the Terra Vista area for the past year and a half. No issues at all. I really enjoy the area.
