That's what we do on our avocado acreage, but the well was already drilled when we bought the parcel. All we had to do was get a pump installed and pipe the groves. District water is $$$$ in that (our) location.

Like he said, depending on how deep you have to go to get good flow, there's no telling what a well will run you. Could be mucho $$

Escrow is open (finally) and will close on June 4th! Can't wait to get in there to clean the property up, move in and make it my own!

Default Water well supply in Phelan

I heard that homes in Phelan must be built on 2 Acres or larger lots. At 3000 + feet elevation, water must be an important and scarce commodity.

My question is how homeowners find ground wells on their properties. Is there any specific are in town that have working water table that can supply water for growing fruits and vegetables ?

I looked many listings but there is no reference as to the presence of water irrigation system or water wells. Is this because these homes lack these ?

My husband is now looking for homes in Phelan - what can you tell me about this place? and Freesia - how long from first offer until escrow did you have to wait?
