I know that California is 'broke'. Jobs are hard to come; housing is by no means affordable compared to other areas of the US by and times are hard right now....However..I am seeking out recent transplants that have made the move from NC/Southeast....Are you happy with your decision? Are you having a difficult time in California....Do you wish you had stayed where you are... Please weigh in on this discussion... I need to hear from other people who have made the move...

May I ask why you want to move here(CA)? I'm trying to get out of here & move to East TN.
I will say though that houses are much more affordable then I have seen in many, many years.

How affordable would you say...I currently have a 60's ranch 3bedroom; 1 &1/2 bath ranch style home.....How much would that kind of home go for in that area? And why Tennesee..........OMG...I mean.. really..Yes the housing may be cheaper...and affordable..but no culture there/no diversity/lots less to do.
