hello, My family & I are planing to move to San Diego in about a year from Austin, Texas. I have been a home inspector, and pest control man for 16 years and a newly licensed real estate appraiser. Our daughter is 7 years old and we are in early forties.
Wondering what job market is like for someone with my back ground.
what the best school districts are , where are some good neighborhoods (possibly near ocean).
what the cost of homes and overall living expenses (food, Elec. water, Etc) are now. I read some things , but they seem to be from 2006 data.
Thanks for input.

You got it backwards...

People are leaving CA, and moving to... Austin, TX.

You're already there, man!

Work, especially in and around real estate, is tough these days. Cost of living will always be high in paradise. A premium will always be paid to live here. Moving here requires some stubborn-ness, will to fight for a job, and a belief that it's worth it. Good luck with your hunt!
